“Creamy mozzarella is made fresh on the premises daliy. Aficionados swear it’s the best in New Jersey outside Hoboken or Jersey City.
Like any ham-lover worth their salt, Belgiovine’s knows that the finest prosciutto is imported from Parma.
The Citterio sopressata is slow-aged and seasoned just like they do in the ‘old country’.
Roasted red peppers round out the perfect Italian sandwich
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar add the perfect finishing touch.”

Excellent carry out sandwiches. We had a variety for the he whole family and all were super delicious.
It's a deli and sandwich shop. Lots of stuff you can buy and take home and cook. We got a chicken breast sandwich, mka special and italy's best. Chicken was good seasoned. The MKA was the best. The rice ball appetizer was delicious. Wife ended up eating that as her dinner instead of italy's best. There are so many sandwich shops around Montclair so it's hard to really stand out. We will be back to Belgiovines. I want to try some of their hot sammiches.
After careful consideration and a lot of deliberating over this, it pains me that i have to do this. I mean, at the end of the day, nobody should have to find hair in their food. So it happened the first time i ate here, but i decided to give the benefit of the doubt and put it out of mind, the italian sub was delicious anyway and i chalked it up to a small mishap. But when i returned for a 2nd time and we sat down with our food, my first bite into the msu sub and i notice distinctly a hair embedded in my chicken cutlet. Not a regular strand of hair either. I then began to eat my other sandwich because i was now thrown off. Lo and behold, ANOTHER hair in my sandwich. 3 sandwiches, 3 hairs. I tell my buddy about this days later as i didnt want to ruin his experience and he says when he ate the sandwich he took home, he too found a hair in his food.
So, needless to say, this was beyond disappointing. Im sorry i need to do/say this, but, ill never set foot in here again. 4 hairs is too many..
Popped in to get a sandwich for the husband. Everyone was friendly and courteous. All the food looked fresh and amazing. Ordered roast beef and Swiss on a roll. I also got a mini cannoli and rice ball. The rice ball was as big as a softball! When I got home I warmed the rice ball up and it was filled with an amazing meat sauce and cheese. Next time I go I'm going to ask about the amazing meat sauce!
I want to like this place but im always underwhelmed.
Last time I ordered a specialty sandwich (think it was called mka) and they drenched it in balsamic vinegar.. Almost ruined it. Most people would have brought it back..
Also very skimpy with chicken and prociutoto..
I will give it another shot because its the only Italian deli close enough to run out to real quick..
I believe Rosarios in Watchung plaza is much better..
Easily the best sandwiches I've come across in town. It's worth it to call ahead with your order if you are pressed for time. Perfection takes a minute to produce.
Try the pepperoni and mozz egg rolls (I knew I was in the right place when I saw that particular mashup of culture and flavor) and the breaded shrimp in the cold case.
I finally got to check this place out after having my eye on it since we moved to Montclair. There's a ton of places in town to get a sandwich and most of them will get the bread right since we're in North Jersey but the meats and toppings? At most places you might as well be in "Elvis Country" ( youtube.com/watch?v=WHpP… )
I got the Molfetta Bari: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, extra virgin olive oil and it was perfectly simple. We also got a few of the prosciutto shooters- hot cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone. Service was very friendly and attentive, I am looking forward to many more weekend lunches here.
We just ordered from here for a belated Christmas party and were surprised at how much food we got and thrilled that everything was not only reasonably priced but absolutely delicious. We will definitely order from here again. The delivery was on time and service was excellent. We have leftovers for days and couldn't be happier!
Each time I go to Bel G's it gets better and better. Now they have Nicolo's bread. I'll be eating here at least 3 xs a week from now on. TY, Bel G's.
Excellent food and an excellent Italian food store. They have everything could possibly want that may not be so easily found at my local grocery store. The sandwich I ordered was slightly expensive, approx 14 dollars but was excellent. I love the way they sliced the pickles in the slicer so they where super thin on the sandwich. I will definitely be coming back to this location soon. They do carry all Italian cold cuts and fresh pasta.
We found this place through Yelp while we were in this area looks for a light dinner. This place looked like a hold in the wall place, but was much bigger inside. There were frozen pre-made pastas as well as desserts in the freezer than looked very sweet. But since the two of us weren't too hungry, we went for a sandwich to share.
We asked the staff for the most popular item on the menu that had so many options, and the staff simply pointed next to the menu that read "fried chicken cutlet". We opted in to get a full sized sandwich for the two of us.
There weren't any seatings inside and being very windy outside, we took the sandwich to the car. Our first reaction after opening up was, whoa, it's huge! It was already cut in half, and they were generous with the stuffings. Prosciutto, the chicken cutlet, and other meats went well with the veggies and the balsamic vinegar.
I would come back again if we are in the neighborhood.
