“Creamy mozzarella is made fresh on the premises daliy. Aficionados swear it’s the best in New Jersey outside Hoboken or Jersey City.
Like any ham-lover worth their salt, Belgiovine’s knows that the finest prosciutto is imported from Parma.
The Citterio sopressata is slow-aged and seasoned just like they do in the ‘old country’.
Roasted red peppers round out the perfect Italian sandwich
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar add the perfect finishing touch.”

Great guys, great food! Can't wait for their new place to open up next door too. Had the best cheeseburger. It didn't even need condiments it was that good. Keep up the good work guys
Their Italian Super Sub is the best I've ever had. Super fresh ingredients. The staff is very friendly. While it's true there is no seating in the deli itself, they will let you sit on the grill side to eat.
I've worked in Cedar Grove for almost 9 years and never heard of this place. The other day we went during lunch on a tip from our coworker.
BOOM!!! This place is awesome! The staff is so nice and inviting and the atmosphere speaks everything Italian and delicious. The menu items on there make you want to take all of it home with you. We were even lucky enough to get a sample of fresh mozzarella, which tasted wonderful.
I would highly recommend this place for lunch and can't wait to get back. Found my new Italian deli.
I finally got to check this place out after having my eye on it since we moved to Montclair. There's a ton of places in town to get a sandwich and most of them will get the bread right since we're in North Jersey but the meats and toppings? At most places you might as well be in "Elvis Country" ( youtube.com/watch?v=WHpP… )
I got the Molfetta Bari: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, extra virgin olive oil and it was perfectly simple. We also got a few of the prosciutto shooters- hot cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone. Service was very friendly and attentive, I am looking forward to many more weekend lunches here.
Don't even read the rest of my review, just go here and get a damn sandwich for yourself and everyone you care about. I always bring friends and family here for lunch when they come visit for the first time, and they still talk about how delicious this place is. Everything is fresh, the bread is great, sandwiches are big and for a fair price. Big selection of salads and sides and a whole fridge/freezer full of sauces, soups, entrees, and drinks. And the dudes that work there are always SUPER friendly, and not that kind of ball-busting friendly you usually get at Italian delis in Jersey (though one may argue that's a part of the experience).
Popped in to get a sandwich for the husband. Everyone was friendly and courteous. All the food looked fresh and amazing. Ordered roast beef and Swiss on a roll. I also got a mini cannoli and rice ball. The rice ball was as big as a softball! When I got home I warmed the rice ball up and it was filled with an amazing meat sauce and cheese. Next time I go I'm going to ask about the amazing meat sauce!
I want to like this place but im always underwhelmed.
Last time I ordered a specialty sandwich (think it was called mka) and they drenched it in balsamic vinegar.. Almost ruined it. Most people would have brought it back..
Also very skimpy with chicken and prociutoto..
I will give it another shot because its the only Italian deli close enough to run out to real quick..
I believe Rosarios in Watchung plaza is much better..
Always great food and service. Great value. Their Italian sausage is great. Love the salads. Boyfriend had a turkey and cheese sub and loved it. Everything so fresh.
Everything you want in a sub and more!
It was my first time, a friend had recommended Belgiovine a couple of years ago. They raved about it, so much so that I didn't forget when my craving for a sub kicked in. I ordered a turkey sub and asked for everything (LTO Mayo, oil + vinegar, S&P and oregano). I wanted hot peppers & the girl at the counter suggested the long hots. Great suggestion! ONE WORD- delicious! The bread was fresh and yummy, the turkey so thinly sliced but just the right amount to fill the sandwich.
Portions are sizable, I ordered a regular (vs. the large), but had to save the second half for later. They also have other homemade sides, and fresh vegetables, peppers artichokes etc. Definitely worth it, and I will be back!
