“Creamy mozzarella is made fresh on the premises daliy. Aficionados swear it’s the best in New Jersey outside Hoboken or Jersey City.
Like any ham-lover worth their salt, Belgiovine’s knows that the finest prosciutto is imported from Parma.
The Citterio sopressata is slow-aged and seasoned just like they do in the ‘old country’.
Roasted red peppers round out the perfect Italian sandwich
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar add the perfect finishing touch.”

A coworker of mine brought me the tuna sandwich and I eat a lot of Tuna and this sandwich is DELICIOUS! I am so amazed by how good this sandwich taste, it has the perfect ratio of ingredients. Not too much Mayo, or other spices... PERFECT! And it's huge a big sandwich for the cost, definitely worth it and will be bringing my family to try this wonderful place.
The best Italian deli. Hands down. They also have a large selection of there food prepackaged and ready to go. LOVE IT.
Got the masterpiece and the fonz on a Saturday afternoon for lunch!! The chicken cutlets on the fonz were absolutely and perfectly delicious. Moist, somewhat crispy, super flavorful. Bread on both sandwiches and fresh mozz was fantastic too. The only downside on the masterpiece was they forgot to put the prosciutto on! It was still delicious with eggplant, tomato, mozz and arugula but next time would love to try the fresh prosciutto which looked like it was straight from Italy!
Would also like to try the buff chicken roll and the rice balls next time!
Take it from a guy who has been going to Nicolo's at least once per week for each of the past 20 years (and LOVE it). I hit Belgiovine's for a change of pace and I can say this place is second to none. Let's face it Jersey is known for great deli's. This joint is right at the top of the heap. I had a ham, spicy sopresata with a piece of fried eggplant sub and I WEPT over it! Go Here NOW!
Service is medium so slow, bread is amazing and the subs are better than most practically anywhere. I always have to drink after eating one though. Well worth the time and money.
Listen! Listen! My Wife is a finicky eater. I mean I don't like less than great food, maybe it's a Guy thing, but I'll season wack food and "power through".
Anyway, my Wife liked the Turkey & Cheese Sandwich and the Caesar Salad
W/ Chicken. Me?!.... Me?! I am very happy that I found a bonafide Italian Deli.
Also, the customer service is great. The man at the cash register, who I assume is the Mgr or Owner, offered me a sample of their Mozzarella which they prepare fresh THREE TIMES A DAY. Delicious!
This is my 1st time coming here and I am confident their entire menu is delicious. Man.....what else can I say? Oh! They've got something I've never heard of "Pepperoni Bread" WHAT!?!?!?!?
Also, I can already say that they shouldn't change a thing and I specifically mean Belgiovine's NOT having seats inside and a "few" seats outside.
Follow these 4 Steps:

That's all for now. I gotta figure out the next time I'm ordering from Belgiovine's Deli.
I came here after work because it was close in proximity, it had great reviews on Yelp, and I was really craving a good sandwich. Sub shops in north jersey are a dime a dozen, but only a few can really perfect the art of sandwich making. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich with fresh mozz and lettuce, tomato, mayo. To start, the bread included was really high quality and it tasted great. The chicken itself was not too salty and it actually tasted fresh. I also appreciated that the mozzarella was not salty. All in all, I could tell quality ingredients were used. The entire sub was $8 which is a little on the higher side, but I've had worse for that same price. I also spotted some rainbow cookies by the register; will definitely try those for next time! All in all, I would return.
Hit or miss depending on what employee you get to make your sandwich. 8/10 the sandwiches and meat slicing is done correctly. Classic Italian bakery that is always busy. Depending on when you go, might be wise to call ahead with your order.
We are always a fan of Belgies. We usually shop a la carte and prep our own sandwiches - which usually includes the breaded chicken cutlet, ciabatta bread, roasted peppers, mozzarella and broccoli rabe, but found that ordering one of their prefixed sandwiches to be better priced. We had a regular size prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted peppers and arugula sandwich which was big enough for 2. The eggplant sounds amazing and will definitely put that on our list to try next time. Along with their outside seating, it's awesome they are able to open Broughton Grill next door for indoor dining. Plenty of options.
Just yum. Always fresh bread, thick meaty sandwiches. Plus their house made specials - like stuffed peppers, eggplant, and all the delicious things - make this a must stop for deli fiends.
Everything you want in a sub and more!
It was my first time, a friend had recommended Belgiovine a couple of years ago. They raved about it, so much so that I didn't forget when my craving for a sub kicked in. I ordered a turkey sub and asked for everything (LTO Mayo, oil + vinegar, S&P and oregano). I wanted hot peppers & the girl at the counter suggested the long hots. Great suggestion! ONE WORD- delicious! The bread was fresh and yummy, the turkey so thinly sliced but just the right amount to fill the sandwich.
Portions are sizable, I ordered a regular (vs. the large), but had to save the second half for later. They also have other homemade sides, and fresh vegetables, peppers artichokes etc. Definitely worth it, and I will be back!
