“Creamy mozzarella is made fresh on the premises daliy. Aficionados swear it’s the best in New Jersey outside Hoboken or Jersey City.
Like any ham-lover worth their salt, Belgiovine’s knows that the finest prosciutto is imported from Parma.
The Citterio sopressata is slow-aged and seasoned just like they do in the ‘old country’.
Roasted red peppers round out the perfect Italian sandwich
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar add the perfect finishing touch.”

Great Italian sandwich spot and deli - the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Sandwiches are good and the staff is friendly. They give a nice portion and their prices aren't bad..this is my go to spot for a sub.
Can we overlook the fact that my GPS took me through Upper Montclair to get to this deli and it hurt to know I'll never be rich and live somewhere this nice?
The litmus test for an Italian deli has to be their homemade sausage and/or meatballs and gravy ('sauce' or 'marinara' for you heathens) and on my first visit I went with the meatballs. And they were excellent. (They also knocked it out of the park with their breaded chicken cutlets, cold cuts and a few other odds and ends I picked up.)
To make sure it wasn't a fluke on my second visit I had to try their 'El Fuego' sandwich when I saw one component was 'muffuletta' (the traditional Muffuletta is without a doubt my all-time favorite sandwich and not something you ever see in Jersey). This heavy-duty sandwich was a scorchingly delicious work of beauty. My mouth was burning and I couldn't have been happier. (And all the other goodies I picked up on this visit were dynamite once again.)
Official verdict: Belgiovine's is fantastic.
Very cool staff (working their tails off behind the counter) to boot.
(It's Montclair so it should go without saying that it's a wee bit more expensive and parking is going to be a headache.)
One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. They have a great selection of house favorites with everything from your traditional italian to chicken or eggplant cutlets. Some of the freshest food around and the staff is super friendly. Bread is brought in from Nicolo's daily so you know it's gonna be good no matter what. Always my go to spot in Montclair.
Doesn't get any better than Belgiovine! We come about 3xs a week. The frozen section is OUTSTANDING. I knew it would be good, I didn't expect t to be SOOOO GOOD! The cheese ravioli, chicken parm, and Manacotti are so fabulous! We've also had 4 or 5 different sandwiches, all fantastic! Everyone that works here is so nice which is a huge plus too
Listen! Listen! My Wife is a finicky eater. I mean I don't like less than great food, maybe it's a Guy thing, but I'll season wack food and "power through".
Anyway, my Wife liked the Turkey & Cheese Sandwich and the Caesar Salad
W/ Chicken. Me?!.... Me?! I am very happy that I found a bonafide Italian Deli.
Also, the customer service is great. The man at the cash register, who I assume is the Mgr or Owner, offered me a sample of their Mozzarella which they prepare fresh THREE TIMES A DAY. Delicious!
This is my 1st time coming here and I am confident their entire menu is delicious. Man.....what else can I say? Oh! They've got something I've never heard of "Pepperoni Bread" WHAT!?!?!?!?
Also, I can already say that they shouldn't change a thing and I specifically mean Belgiovine's NOT having seats inside and a "few" seats outside.
Follow these 4 Steps:
(2)Get great food. (From friendly staff)
(3)Go somewhere else with great food.
(4)Enjoy great food.
That's all for now. I gotta figure out the next time I'm ordering from Belgiovine's Deli.
Shout out to this fantastic deli for the ease of curbside pick up in April 2020. Called in my order before 9 AM. Drove to pick it up around 9:30. Three great chicken cutlet subs were then delivered directly into my car's trunk. We had the Fonz, the MHS, and the MKA. There was plenty to feed six all sheltering at home later at lunch time. Everyone raved about the flavors, tasty chicken and sauces, and the delicious sub rolls. Good system and good food.
I want to like this place but im always underwhelmed.
Last time I ordered a specialty sandwich (think it was called mka) and they drenched it in balsamic vinegar.. Almost ruined it. Most people would have brought it back..
Also very skimpy with chicken and prociutoto..
I will give it another shot because its the only Italian deli close enough to run out to real quick..
I believe Rosarios in Watchung plaza is much better..
The BEST eggplant I've had in my life! We go here just to get their eggplant mozzarella sandwich all the time! We also get their frozen meals and soups which we love and eat throughout the week! Great option for busy parents! Highly recommend this place!
This is going to be a mixed review so take it for what it's worth. I ordered sandwich platters and a large caprese salad for a meeting today. The order arrived exactly on time and the sandwiches were very attractive and tasty. Pricing was fine and they didn't charge extra for delivery!
But here's the downside: I had been quite specific that I had two attendees who are strict vegetarians and asked to make sure that at least three/four of the sandwiches were tomato/mozz or roasted veggies as specified on their order form. Unfortunately, none of the sandwiches were veggie-friendly. And the order came with two small packs of mustard, five small packs of mayonnaise and no paper products whatsoever. I've never had a catered lunch where paper products and mustard/mayo/ketchup, etc was not included; if I had been aware, I could have provided but to not provide and not indicate either on their menu or when ordering that this is not provided was really problematic.
