“Creamy mozzarella is made fresh on the premises daliy. Aficionados swear it’s the best in New Jersey outside Hoboken or Jersey City.
Like any ham-lover worth their salt, Belgiovine’s knows that the finest prosciutto is imported from Parma.
The Citterio sopressata is slow-aged and seasoned just like they do in the ‘old country’.
Roasted red peppers round out the perfect Italian sandwich
A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar add the perfect finishing touch.”

Popped in to get a sandwich for the husband. Everyone was friendly and courteous. All the food looked fresh and amazing. Ordered roast beef and Swiss on a roll. I also got a mini cannoli and rice ball. The rice ball was as big as a softball! When I got home I warmed the rice ball up and it was filled with an amazing meat sauce and cheese. Next time I go I'm going to ask about the amazing meat sauce!
Sensational local Italian Deli. All great sandwiches start with great bread, and while I'm not certain which bakery they're using, the bread here is top notch. Add to that the high quality meats, cheeses, fresh produce, and they are putting out as high quality a sandwich as anyone in the area.
Furthermore, they have a nice selection of catered hot food, all of which smells delicious, and what I've sampled has been excellent.
They also offer a wide selection of cold and frozen soups, sauces, entrees, etc. if you don't feel like cooking at home, you certainly have a fine option here, if you simply want to reheat some fine Italian comfort food.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable.
One of the few downsides is parking. They have no lot, so it's all street parking. You can park in the nearby Montclair museum lot, but that can be a bit of a schlep if you're carrying too much.
I had my husband's 50th birthday party catered by Belgiovine's. The food was delicious, delivered on time, and enjoyed by 26 guests, most of whom asked where the food was from. Even the salad was displayed in such a pretty presentation. I had never gotten anything from here before but decided to do it based on the reputation of the fresh mozzarella. I heard that it was the best outside of Jersey City and Hoboken. Having grown up in Jersey City with an uncle who had an Italian deli and made the best mozzarella in Jersey City, I made the leap of faith that at place that has great mozzarella would most likely have great everything else. I was not disappointed!
Absolutely great sandwiches and tons of other prepared foods and Italian specialties that are delicious. My only suggestion would be that they change their bread (preferably to Nicolo's). Then it would be 5 stars.
Excellent sandwiches at a reasonable price considering the size and taste...awesome and will definitely be back. Staff are great too.
I've worked in Cedar Grove for almost 9 years and never heard of this place. The other day we went during lunch on a tip from our coworker.
BOOM!!! This place is awesome! The staff is so nice and inviting and the atmosphere speaks everything Italian and delicious. The menu items on there make you want to take all of it home with you. We were even lucky enough to get a sample of fresh mozzarella, which tasted wonderful.
I would highly recommend this place for lunch and can't wait to get back. Found my new Italian deli.
Easily the best sandwiches I've come across in town. It's worth it to call ahead with your order if you are pressed for time. Perfection takes a minute to produce.
Try the pepperoni and mozz egg rolls (I knew I was in the right place when I saw that particular mashup of culture and flavor) and the breaded shrimp in the cold case.
I finally got to check this place out after having my eye on it since we moved to Montclair. There's a ton of places in town to get a sandwich and most of them will get the bread right since we're in North Jersey but the meats and toppings? At most places you might as well be in "Elvis Country" ( youtube.com/watch?v=WHpP… )
I got the Molfetta Bari: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, extra virgin olive oil and it was perfectly simple. We also got a few of the prosciutto shooters- hot cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto and provolone. Service was very friendly and attentive, I am looking forward to many more weekend lunches here.
Best Italian hoagie I've tasted. I know I was hungry coming in here but I know that's definitely not the reason why it was so good. Cold cuts were fresh and so were the vegetables. I'm definitely going back when in the area. I have to confirm for sure that it just wasn't a one hit wonder! Haha
I used to go here for lunch when I worked near by. Also I had been given a big gift card by the boss which inspired me to visit more lol. Good sandwiches. They have some precooked hot sandwhiches too but your better off with the cold cuts. If your in the area it's worth a try but I don't think it's worth making a specific trip for.
Best Deli I've ever been to!! Hands down.
Great bunch of guys. Excellent food!
